Ratna Ling is home to three volunteer work projects.
Please read through the web site of each project so you are familiar with the goals, missions and work of the organization.
You do not need any specific skills, although some projects are seeking people with prior experience in particular field.
The minimum commitment is 6 months to one year. For those who find our community and lifestyle a good fit, longer term positions beyond one year are possible.
1. Ratna Ling Retreat Center Positions open for landscaping & site maintenance and marketing. Also seeking an experienced organic gardener to start now and an experienced chef/kitchen manager for the Fall. See Ratna Ling volunteer opportunities
2. Dharma Publishing Positions open in
graphic design, marketing and advertising writing, shipping and hands-on crafting of products offered for sale that relate to Dharma Publishing's mission to preserve, promote, and transmit Buddhist teachings. Longer term internships possible in printing, pre-press, sales & product design.
3. Yeshe De Tibetan Book project Volunteers needed for all aspects of book production from folding and collating to wrapping, warehousing & packing. Training provided, although a background with warehousing, mechanics and/or electronics is appreciated. See Tibetan Book Project volunteer opportunities
We encourage all applicants to be flexible and willing to be placed wherever the work need is greatest.
If you have a specific skill you would like to contribute or you wish to be placed with a particular project, please let us know on your application.
The minimum age for application is 21 years.
